“It is my first film as director and I wanted to make a content oriented cinema where I could make the audience experience another realm of a story narration. I want my film to be simple yet strong, and so I came up with this story,” he said.

The crew of the film brought a lot of humour and fun to the school campus. Children were gifted t-shirts and badges after they answered a few questions related to the film.

Ayush Khedekar, child artist from Oscar winning film Slumdog Millionaire, is playing the character of Jignesh in Ek Tha Hero. He is a young school boy who dreams about owning a cycle but when he doesn’t get it because of financial potholes, he finds another way to fulfill his little dream.

“It was a learning process to play the character of Jignesh because I am a lot like him. Whenever I plan something in my head, come what may I fight for it and I chase my dream. This film is not just about a cycle but a dream. The cycle is just used as a metaphor” said Ayush.

Ayush also told us that his father inspired him to act since he is a Marathi theatre artist.
