Dear Diana,
I'm 24 years old and in love with an 18-year-old girl. She's afraid that our age difference may become an issue in the future. She is in college while I am working in a bank. Her concerns are making me think twice about our relationship. Am I being naive or should we go looking for someone who is closer to our age ?

Dear Sameer,
It is only a six-year difference and that is no big deal. There are couples who have an age gap of a decade or more. The problem is that she is still a student. This is what is of concern to her. There is, however, no need to worry. You are not getting married right now. So she can continue with her studies while you better your job prospects. Marriage can happen after some years.
