Dear Diana,
I was in a relationship with this guy for almost two years. Last weekend, we had a big fight. As it was pouring and everything was in a mess, I was in a crabby mood. This infuriated my guy as he felt I was being too highhanded and unreasonable. He then told me not to talk to him. He did not want to see my face. In anger, I told him let's go our separate ways. Now I am trying my best to make myself forget him, but I cannot. I still love him. I am dying to talk to him and clear up everything. But I don't have the guts to speak to him. I think he hates me and doesn't want to talk to me because of what happened. But then why did he make such a big issue about my harmless cribbing about the weather?

Dear Nibhana,
You had a heated argument and at the spur of the moment, just decided to call it quits. As they say act in haste and repent at leisure. Your constant cribbing infuriated him. He may have told you to be quiet, but you overreacted by telling him that you wanted to end the relationship. As he was also angry, he just did not react. As it was you who chose to move on, you will have to make the first move if you want him back in your life. It is not too late to say you're sorry and to make amends for what you've done. Everything happened in a fit of rage. By now, he too must have cooled down and realised that he was getting irritable for a silly reason. Try reaching out to him and hope things work out for you. Next time do not act in such haste and say that you want to go your way.
