When the lockdown was hurting many of the industries, the boom in the web content industry was quite evident. Everyone was either busy reading e-books or binge-watching web series and movies on OTT platforms. When we spoke to award-winning author, blogger and entrepreneur Anamika Mishra about this, she said ‘My company closed some of the best deals during the lockdown. New clients came on board and even the traffic on my blogs doubled.’

Anamika Mishra is best known for her bestselling romance suspense novel for the sake of love which was published in 2017 by Westland. This novel is still topping the charts though she released her new book A to Z of Blogging and Dreamcatcher on Amazon kindle exclusively.

‘Keeping in mind the shift of interest of readers from physical books to eBooks and the slowdown of book industry, I had to take this step. Publishers wanted me to wait for another year for me to publish the book with them. I couldn’t wait. What matters is my stories and my readers. And I have had published a couple of short stories on kindle and got amazing response. Hence, I decided to publish both of my new books on Kindle and I am really happy I did because the books were on bestsellers list globally, though I am open for offers from publishers for its physical version.’

She has various won awards and have spoken in over 100+ conferences and events. Not just this, but she also owns a digital media company RSM Mediaworks and is a partner at Secret Kitchen (a cloud kitchen in Kanpur) and Thea Events (an events company).

‘I like being a jack of all and master of one. I know I am a master in writing, but I enjoy playing other roles as well, like of an entrepreneur and speaker. Many people get surprised when I talk about technical stuff like website designing, software et al and tell them that I designed my websites and I do graphics as well. I always tell them with pride that I hold 2 diverse degrees, one of Bachelors of computer applications and other, master in journalism and mass communication. Both degrees were a conscious decision since I love it all. I love all of my work verticals and I enjoy it to the core. If there is something that I don’t like, and then I won’t do it’, says Anamika Mishra

Despite of all this, Mishra is just an ordinary girl from the heart who loves to watch movies and travel a lot. ‘I had to make travelling a part of my work, because it keeps me sane. My dad and my mom, both were travel buffs and even during the school days, we used to go on holidays almost every second month. I have grown up travelling and road-tripping with my family. I am happy that I get to travel as a travel blogger, or speaker or for events.’

Anamika’s inspiring persona and charming personality with dash of U.P. ki nazakat has already made her rule the hearts of her fans and followers.

‘Money comes and goes but what remains forever is the personality and impression that you leave in the heart of the people who are connected to you. This was taught to me by my parents and it helps me stay grounded and humble. I miss them every day, every moment’.

When we asked if she had any new project lined up for us, she giggled and replied, ‘Well yes! I am almost ready to announce one of my dream projects. Though I can’t reveal much as of now, but I can give a hint that it is related to the travel industry.’

We wish her good luck for her future endeavors.

‘Follow me on my social media, I would love to expand my social media FAM!’, said Mishra as she signed off.
