Easter specials at Bombay Sweet Shop

The Covid-19 pandemic has definitely dampened spirits but if you are looking to dine in and around the city, here’s a list that will make it easier for you. If you don’t want to step out, you need not worry because you can just order-in and have their best kind of celebration with your family and friends, while maintaining all the necessary precautions.

Bombay Sweet Shop, Byculla East 
Easter celebrations are incomplete without hot cross buns, and even if you aren’t able to celebrate with your extended family this time around, you can always send them goodies. Giving an Indian twist to the classic hot cross buns, the dessert shop has warm Hot Shahi Buns, which are filled with shahi tukda and cream. They have also have an Indian version of the classic Easter Eggs, which are made like juicy malai pedhas. All their products are eggless.

Hakkasan, Bandra West
This popular Bandra restaurant has a five-course festive menu planned for celebrating Easter. The soup menu includes the wild mushroom clear soup, sweet corn soup and the hot & sour soup. Check out their small eats options like chive flower and mushroom dumpling, crispy tofu in Szechuan peppercorn, and more. In the main course, you can choose from stir-fry broccolini with mushroom to stir-fry chicken in lang chin sauce. Also sip on some cool cocktails such as watermelon sunshine (vodka, basil, watermelon and tonic) and Le grand fizz (vodka, fragrant elderflower syrup and lime topped with soda), among others.

JW Marriott Juhu
Even as the cases rise in the city, JW Marriott in Juhu is making sure the spirits are high this Easter as diners in the city can choose from different options. The Easter brunch at Lotus Café will include the likes of specials such as deviled eggs, glazed ham, Easter pie, carrot cake and more. While you gorge on the delicious food, there will also be an Easter egg hunt and egg painting to keep your children busy. If you’re craving some sweet treats, head over to Bombay Baking Company to relish chocolate Easter eggs, carrot cake and Easter verrines to make the most of the occasion.

Bastian, Bandra West
Their Easter brunch menu has been divided into three sections -- Salt, Salt + Sugar and Sugar along with small eats and cocktails. The Salt section offers dishes such as spinach arugula salad and crab toast. While the Salt+ Sugar menu features ham and cheese burrito and The Homer (a brioche doughnut with sunny side eggs, bacon, house-made breakfast sausage patty and cheddar). And, indulge in some sweet treats like stuffed mixed berry French toast and gluten free hazelnut crunch waffle. On the drinks menu, you can choose from Spanked & Cracked (strawberries, fresh basil shaken with fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, pineapple juice and el Jimador Reposado tequila) and Spring To Life (red grapes muddled with passion fruit syrup, fresh lemon juice shaken with vodka, apple juice and Grand Noir Chardonnay).

If you’re looking took step out in Bandra, head over to O Pedro for a delicious feast. The restaurant is serving a variety of specials, including Goan Choriz Benedict with eggs, Parma Ham Poee Flatbread and Home-style seafood Easter Pulao among others. If you feel like ordering in, gorge on Short Rib & Bone Marrow Pie, Pedro’s Chicken Pot Pie, and Chocolate Orange Babka for dessert. Don’t fret if you want to celebrate Easter at home because they also have a delivery option and pre-orders too.

This quaint Bandra café is offering an eclectic Easter-special menu curated by Chef Gresham Fernandes. The menu features dishes such as caramelised cauli tortellini, crispy pork belly, char grilled steak and fries, whole roasted chicken and caramelised white chocolate and mango pie.

For Easter, Yauatcha is introducing a limited-edition menu with three unique flavours of Easter eggs inspired by their own signature petit gateaux. So, you can choose between three Easter egg flavours like mango and passion fruit Easter egg made with mango and passion fruit mousse, fresh mango compote insert and white chocolate shell; dark chocolate praline Easter egg that comes with a hazelnut praline mousse, crunchy praline insert and dark chocolate shell and the Irish cream Easter egg made with Irish coffee mousse, Irish liqueur insert and milk chocolate shell.
