Who do you call when punishing working hours leave you with little time to choose a gift for a loved one? The women at The Gourmet Company, of course.
Run by mother-daughter duo Neerja and Sandhya Mittersain, the two-year-old initiative does gourmet hampers around a specific theme.

The Breakfast in Bed hamper packs a pancake mix, chocolate chip cookies, wild forest honey, fruit preserves, hot chocolate, lavazza coffee and exotic fruits on a neat folding tray, while the Coffee hamper includes brews from around the world, including a Starbucks mug that we'd love to clutch on a blue day.
"We wanted to move beyond flowers and chocolates as gifting options," says Neerja, 27, who works as a consultant. Her mother Sandhya, who is also a professional bhajan singer adds that apart from what's listed on their catalogue, they can also customise hampers for specific occasions. "Give us a budget and we can work within it," says Sandhya.
The Gourmet Company is willing to go that extra mile for special occasions. Sandhya recalls the time they were given an order for a client's 25th wedding anniversary.
"We sent them hampers through the day, charting the course of their marriage. We went from a coffee hamper signifying the coffee date the couple had first been on, to a honeymoon basket and even a children's basket," she says.
Free delivery within the city. The Gourmet Company also accepts orders from all over Inda. A percentage of their profits go towards an NGO that supports education for the girl child.
