Yami Gautam, who stars in the recently released web series, 'A Thursday,' recently opened up about her skin condition 'Keratosis pilaris.' In a conversation with mid-day.com the actress says she feels relieved after putting it out there!

Yami says, "There are some things where my perspective as an actor evolves because my perspective as a person is growing. It doesn’t happen overnight. Maybe I wanted to do it since really long but the kind of industry we work in, we are not just actors, we have brands, a social image, an identity and expectations. If you talk about 2022, the new age this is an important aspect. This is where social media can be constructive, we can be kinder to each other and more real. "

Speaking about the reactions she has been receiving she adds, "This condition (Keratosis pilaris) is so common, in girls and even boys. I remember this comment that, ‘I have this condition and my partner thinks that, why cant you be as flawless as actresses and models are! I’ve shown him your post and feel so relieved. I also felt relieved, I’ve been in situations where I’m asked to conceal it and air brush it, which I have done because not everything is about you."
