Cartel:
Supriya plays a different kind of matriarch in this MX player show. After delivering a fierce performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Ram Leela' as Deepika Padukone's tough mother, she donned the avatar of Rani Mai, a gang leader in 'Cartel'. The story revolves around 5 gang-lords of Mumbai. Khan, Anna, Angre, Gajraj and a mysterious movie producer form 5 gangs who rule the low-profile underworld in the city of dreams. While all 5 gangs operate in different parts of the city, order and harmony is ensured only due to one Iron lady, Rani Maai who sits on a throne and looks over the smooth functioning of events.

Supriya Pathak headlines SonyLiv’s web series along with Pavan Malhotra. Titled Tabbar, the family thriller is directed by Ajit Pal Singh and written by Harman Wadala. The show also features Ranvir Shorey, Gagan Arora, Sahil Mehta, Paramveer Cheema, Nupur Nagpal, and Kanwaljit Singh in pivotal roles.
The actress plays Sargun, a woman who is strong and loves her family unconditionally. "She may be a coy, demure middle-class woman, but when it comes to her family’s safety, she fights against all odds to protect them. Tabbar revolves around this beautiful family who support each other in times of trouble and how they survive the unknown by standing together," she had said.
In an interview with FirstPost, the actress had spoken about how the OTT revolution has brought about change in content. "I think this is a great movement in Indian cinema where every character is important. It is a great opportunity for an actor. It is good for the filmmakers too because they are able to tell stories which one would have always wanted to do being entertainers. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than entertaining my audiences with different characters which we were not able to do when we had only cinema. When television came in that was the time television gave us that opportunity. We used to have lovely shows on TV like Tamas and Buniyaad, Karamchand, Hum Log and more. But at one point that stopped and then came in that similar kind of long-drawn-out shows with not much variety in the content. Therefore, television lost its meaning and we didn’t have anything worthwhile that we could do on TV. They all became similar stories. That was the time when we didn’t have any other outlet. Today, OTT has given us that outlet. We have come to a point with the help of OTT where we can tell a lot more stories which we couldn’t do with television. Most importantly, OTT is a global platform, so now you are not just competing with yourself and within the country, but with the world. Quality of OTT is much better. It is a great medium to have."
