The most dramatic outfit I have worn
The most dramatic outfit I have worn is bridal wear for an ad shoot. I shot that TV commercial over three days and it was an elaborate bridal look. The lehenga alone was 20 kgs and the dupatta was very heavy too. I was wearing real kundan jewelry and all the other jewelry that an Indian bride would wear. Since a rain sequence was part of the shoot, we had people pouring water over us and my costume was getting even heavier to wear. Those three days were a huge challenge. To top it, I was required to run in a particular sequence. As they say no pain no gain, I was playing a bride to Ranbir Kapoor in that ad and the outcome was amazing. It earned me so much appreciation. Today, I feel an Indian bride looks the most beautiful ever but it’s again the most dramatic look.
My favourite Indian outfit
I fell in love with the Indian wear I adorned for my character Purva in my upcoming series Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein on Netflix. So only after its release I will be able to share details of it. I’m so eager to share it though. Apart from that, I own a beautiful black lehenga choli. One would generally not think of black colour for lehenga, we mostly levitate towards vibrant colours. But the moment I saw it, I bought it. I like to accessorize it with chunky silver jewelry. I wore it for my movie promotion and again at my friend's wedding.
My favourite western outfit
I love wearing dresses and the whole feminine vibes they hold.
The trendiest outfit I own
A pair of blue jeans from Fashion Nova is my go to trendy wear. It depends on the occasion or my mood how I amp it up. Sometimes I wear it with boots, a spaghetti top with an over-sized blazer. At other times I wear it with stilettos and a fitted basic white shirt.
What you will find me wearing at home
Nothing like wearing pyjamas and a ganji, something loose and breathable. Even a long t shirt with shorts is good.
My favourite holiday outfits
Before the pandemic it was Goa for its beaches but since the pandemic I haven’t been on a holiday. Luckily, I was shooting during this time and for that purpose I travelled to Manali three times, fell in love with mountains and enjoyed wearing winter clothes which we can't in Mumbai. To keep it trendy, fun and yet comfortable I explored and loved wearing long boots, long jackets teamed up with dresses or pants.
The fashion trends I don't like
I am not very fond of long fake nails. That's all I can think of now.
My go-to accessories
I love wearing statement earrings, a watch and my shades. I follow minimalism. I find anklets very cute too. I love the understated vibe of pearls too.
One other celeb whose wardrobe I would like to steal from
I love Sonam Kapoor's wardrobe since it's very stylish, experimental and classic. The confidence to carry it all with ease is what I look upto. These days, what Deepika Padukone is donning for her promotion of 83 movie is so elegant and yet fun, simply love it.
