Govind Namdev to play the dramatic father of Randeep Hooda in Inspector Avinash

Govind Namdev has been roped in to play Randeep Hooda’s father in the web series, Inspector Avinash. Though on-screen they are at loggerheads, as he does not like the idea of his son being a part of the police force, off-screen they share a great camaraderie.

“We have worked together earlier, so there is an old connect. He respects his seniors a lot. He is an actor of great ethics and is very focused,” says the veteran actor, who is balancing his digital assignments with Bollywood outings. Neerraj Patthak’s series is based on the life of Uttar Pradesh supercop Avinash Mishra.
Talking about the series, Govind Namdev said, "Inspector Avinash is based on real-life of an Inspector who tackled criminal activities in Uttar Pradesh heroically. I'm playing Randeep Hooda's father who is very dramatic and dynamic I can say. He doesn't like the police due to some reasons and since his son is a police officer he doesn't have a good rapport with him. Finally, when his son gets trapped in some legal issue he fights for his case as an advocate. So I am getting to play this kind of roles which is multifaceted."
He is hands full of 9 projects. On his excitement for the upcoming projects, Govind Namdev says, "This year is going to be a remarkable one for me and I hope it will leave a mark on audiences. I'm very lucky to be working on such varied projects and am looking forward to them as I love to challenge and push myself to keep working hard towards developing and updating my craft. I'm very excited to play different characters in films and web series altogether."
