Written by Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar, and Rohit Nair, ‘Call Me Bae’ is the story of Bae, who upon being downsized from heiress to hustler, discovers that her most valuable assets aren’t her diamonds, but her street smarts and style. Broke but refusing to be broken, she navigates the newsrooms of Mumbai, finding beaus, behens, and her better self.
On the personal front, Ananya, who was allegedly dating Aditya Roy Kapur is now single. As per a report by ETimes, a source close to the couple said, "They broke up almost a month ago. They were going quite strong, and the break-up came as a shock to all of us. They are cordial with each other. Ananya is trying to move on, of course, there’s hurt. She is spending time with her new furry friend. Aditya is also trying to deal with the situation maturely."
Coming to her professional ventures, after her notable performances in 'Kho Gaye Hum Kahan' alongside Adarsh Gourav and Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya is now gearing up for her upcoming ventures, 'Control' and 'The Untold Story of C Sankaran Nair’ with Akshay Kumar. A source states, “The legal drama is inspired by C Sankaran Nair’s exposé of General Michael O’Dwyer’s involvement in the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. While Akshay portrays the lawyer, Ananya plays his mentee.”
She also wrapped the shoot of Vikramaditya Motwane's untitled cyber crime-thriller. Ecstatic about the project, Ananya had earlier said, "When Vikramaditya Motwane approached me with this story, I just knew I had to be part of it. As a filmmaker, he has been on my wish list for as long as I can remember and I feel really lucky to be working with him this early in my career."
