Vishal Kotian whose song featuring the late Sidharth Shukla and Deepika Tripathy ‘Jeena Zaroori Hai’ has just released, caught up with mid-day.com on International tea day.

Sharing his favourite tea recipe he says, “I’m a typical Mumbaikar and love tapri ki chai.  I enjoy cutting chai during the rains, with Parle-G, Marie biscuit or Nankhatai. The recipe is simple, smash some adrak (ginger) and elaichi (cardamom.) They use a cloth to filter the tea instead of a strainer. Mix the milk and just one teaspoon sugar, the tea shouldn’t turn out too sweet.”

He adds, “Tea is good for health, it helps cure cold and leaves you refreshed to seize the day!”
