THIS is the Mumbai lingo Ashi Singh uses the most

Ashi Singh

Television actress Ashi Singh is a true Mumbaikar. Be it eating butter-laden Pav Bhaji at Juhu beach to travelling by rickshaw, she loves it all. Read on to find out more!

Vada Pav or Pav Bhaji?
Pav Bhaji because it’s yummier and I love the fact that so much butter is used in the dish.

Rickshaw or Kaali Peeli?
Rickshaw because it can get through the narrowest of spaces and is much faster, besides I love the wind brushing on the face.

Juhu beach or Bandra Bandstand?
I love both and can’t choose but Juhu beach is nearer to my home and I can avoid traffic.

Gateway of India or Marine Drive?
Marine Drive because I love sitting there and getting lost in thoughts.

Local train or BEST bus?
I would prefer the train but I’ve travelled by bus more because my school and college was near to home. I once took a train for an audition that was far without knowing how to travel by it. I got off from the Metro at Andheri station and kept looking for the ticket counter for half an hour only to realise it was exactly where I had gotten off.

Tapri ki chai or Sol Kadhi?
I don’t drink chai so Sol Kadhi.

Favourite restaurant in the city?
I like trying new places so no one restaurant that I can think of.

Favourite place in Mumbai?
Marine Lines

The Mumbai lingo you use the most?
Gardi (crowd), is a typical Mumbai word.

What do you love most about the city?
All my dreams came true here and the city taught me a lot. It’s not my janmabhoomi but my karmabhoomi. I can’t imagine my life outside Mumbai.
