Back in action

Kumkum Bhagya actor Pooja Banerjee never thought that she would be able to gain full movement in her arms after a mishap on the set of Nach Baliye. Even though she resumed work, and has been shooting for Kumkum Bhagya since last year, the actor had restricted hand movements due to the multiple fractures and surgery. She managed to recover fully only a few days ago and can now work out again. “I used to think I would never be able to pick up or hold things in my hand,” she says.

Aalisha Panwar, who features in Blind Love, prefers being part of short films during the pandemic. “It’s easy to shoot for a short film than for a TV show because shooting winds up in two to three days and you can take maximum precautions,” she explains.

Chi Chi Daroga Happu Singh in Happu Ki Ultan Paltan

Daroga Happu Singh (Yogesh Tripathi) from & TV’s Happu Ki Ultan Paltan is one of the most loved characters on Indian Television today and has etched a special space in the audience’s heart. From sporting a potbelly, a funny hairstyle to his most popular catchphrase, ‘Niyocchavar Kar Do’, he has created a striking image with his comic timing and acting prowess. But one thing many do not know is his uncanny resemblance to Chi-Chi, aka Govinda – the king of comedy and expressions. Yes, you heard it right.

Says Yogesh’s co-actor and on-screen Dabangg Dulhaniya, Rajesh aka Kamna Pathak, “Yogesh is undoubtedly one of the finest actors I have had a chance to work with, and his expressions are outstanding. Whenever I see him, I am reminded of Govinda Ji. He has this uncanny resemblance to him. The way his expressions change, his eye movement, the smile reminds me of Chi-Chi. It is not easy to exhibit so many expressions or even be so much expressive. It is not easy, but Yogesh manages it with so much ease. He has his unique way. His expressions are quite similar to that of Govinda Ji. And when I told this Yogesh, he was on Cloud Nine, and I made his day."
