The show depicts how even from the young age, Ahilya was an extra-ordinary girl. She dared to dream and refused to simply abide by the unjust rules of the society. In the current track of the show, an eager to learn Ahilya wishes to get a formal education even when her own parents discourage her from pursuing the same. Ahilya wants to be considered an equal and treated the same way as her husband Khande Rao.
Apparently shooting for the education track has gotten actress Snehalta Vasaikar who essays the role of Gautamabai i.e ‘Ahilya’s mother-in-law’ in the show emotional and nostalgic for her school days. Snehalta is said to be reminiscing about the good-old days when life was easier and fuss-free.
Sharing more on the same, actress Snehalta Vasaikar said, “I feel school days are the best days of our life. It is the formative period for everyone. School shapes our character, mould our mental attitudes and fashion the basic principles of life. The current education track in the show fills my heart and soul with countless nostalgic memories entangled with school days. It’s like how they say, ‘Time moves in one direction, and memory in another!’ And I am happy that my parents felt education was critical and encouraged me to excel in academics. I also want the same for my daughter. I believe education moulds you as a person and guides you in the direction of becoming who you are.”
Watch Punyashlok Ahilybai every Monday to Friday, at 7:30 pm only on Sony Entertainment Television.
