Television's one of the much-loved shows 'Choti Sarrdaarni' leaves no opportunity to surprise its viewers with its twists and unique characters. In the current track of the show, both Gill and Kaur's family members are busy preparing for Meher (Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia) and Sarab’s (Avinesh Rekhi) wedding as the two have decided to renew their wedding vows.

To make things even more interesting, the makers have decided to introduce a very special new character. Veteran actor Puneet Issar will be joining the show as Beant Singh Gill who is Sarab’s estranged Tayaji. Beant is a no-nonsense, strict disciplinarian who can size people down with his unblinking gaze. He is a man of his word and will bring about some very interesting new developments in the show.

Talking about his character Sardar Beant Singh, Puneet Issar said, “My character Sardar Beant Singh Gill is a very simple, upright person who lives his life by a strict code. While he may appear to be intimidating on the outside, he is actually a very warm and loving person. He is a man with a tough exterior and a soft interior, which is exactly how I am. When it comes to choosing roles, I am very selective. But when I was given the narration, I thought the role was tailor-made for me. I was very impressed by his personality and his approach to life. I can relate to him on many levels. It is great to return to television with COLORS and with super hit show like 'Choti Sarrdaarni'. I look forward to starting this wonderful journey.”

'Choti Sarrdaarni' airs on Colors TV.
