Gurucharan Singh

It's been over five days since Gurucharan Singh, known for his role as Sodhi in the TV show Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, disappeared. He left his home in Delhi on April 22 to come to Mumbai but never arrived. Concerned, his father reported him missing. The police are investigating and have filed a case of kidnapping under section 365. Mandar Chandwadkar, who plays Bhide in the show, mentioned that Gurucharan often traveled between Delhi and Mumbai.

Mandar also mentioned that he saw Gurucharan last in December, “It’s really surprising for me as well. He keeps travelling between Delhi and Mumbai. Last we met at Dilip Joshi’s son’s wedding in December. We had a nice time together, but since then we have not been in touch. Just hoping and praying all is well.”

Interestingly, Gurucharan Singh's latest social media activity was five days ago, coinciding with his disappearance. He shared a birthday greeting for his father at that time.

About the Gurucharan Singh missing case

According to a report by PTI, detectives from the Delhi Police Special Cell went to Gurucharan Singh's residence in Palam, Delhi, to look into his strange disappearance. CCTV footage captured the actor walking across the street near Delhi airport with a backpack. The police disclosed that they obtained crucial leads regarding his whereabouts through technical analysis.

Some earlier reports indicated that Gurucharan's health wasn't great before he disappeared. Apparently, he had high blood pressure and wasn't eating well. He even had some health check-ups done a few days before he went missing.

ETimes TV also got a digital copy of the complaint filed for Gurucharan's disappearance. The complaint, written in Hindi by Gurucharan's father, was shared with them. The statement read as, 'My son Gurucharan Singh, Age: 50 years, had left at 8:30 am on 22nd April to go to Mumbai. He went to the airport to catch a flight. He didn't reach Mumbai, neither has he returned home and his phone is not reachable. He is mentally stable and we had been searching for him but now he has been missing.'

Gurucharan Singh, known for playing Roshan Singh Sodhi on "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah," left the show because of his father's health problems, prioritizing his family.
