How excited are you to enter Bigg Boss 15?
It’s exciting, honestly I wanted to do Bigg Boss 15 and not OTT. But I’m glad I did OTT because it was definitely a beautiful experience. So this will be a finalisation of my Bigg Boss journey and I can move on to music. I’m excited to get closure on this journey and now I know the house, what to do and what not to!
Any of the contestants who impressed you this season...
I like how Shamita Shetty is playing, the fact that she speaks her mind, even though sometimes she is right, other times not. She’s seeing through people, making friends, making mistakes and living the Bigg Boss experience. Most people are wearing a mask and not opening up. By the fifth week hamare dushman, dost sab ban gaye the, we were really involved in our journey. That involvement is missing this season. They all have the potential but are not stepping up. The makers are sending a Laxmi bomb, Diwali bomb to spice up things.
How do you plan to change the dynamics in the house?
I am who I am! Not someone who sits even for a minute. The minute I go in, there will be entertainment. Nishant already spoke about me in the live feed that he wants Neha to come back. He calls me his ‘little toy.’ Doesn’t sound right (laughs) but we fiddle here and there and do our dance. I’m looking forward to that. Last time around I had this big judgment about playing. This time I’m being stronger, less emotional and balance the heart and the head.
Afsana Khan has been creating quite a stir…
I like her. I know she’s been mean to Shamita. What she said was wrong, but she played into everyone’s hands. Her heart is pure. It’s easy to judge from outside but when everyone is screaming at the same time, such things happen.
How have you been celebrating Diwali before entering the house?
I’m in quarantine and bored; I’m living for that moment to see everyone’s face - good, bad, ugly everything (laughs). When wild cards walk in, people get really scared. When Nia Sharma walked in on our season, I knew ‘Yeh aayi hai kuch toh kar ke jaayegi.’
What are your thoughts about your friend from Bigg Boss OTT, Pratik Sehajpal, whom other housemates are sidelining?
Pratik wants to play solo. Initially he was being bullied, but not anymore. Everyone follows a pattern and playing solo is what Pratik has chosen, even Divya Agarwal did the same in OTT. Whenever someone plays for themselves the house will be against them because they come across as selfish. Both are right in their own way.
Who do you see as the winner this season?
Shamita has that fire, Karan Kundrra wants it, Tejasswi Prakash wants it. I definitely want it this time. These people have the fire but they are still finding their ground.
