What are your most precious memories as a child?
Some of the most precious memories would be my home and family. I come from a joint family and we had lot of children in the house of the same age and my cousins lived in the same city too. My birthdays were quite a gala time, my mother ensured we celebrated lavishly. Since my birthday is in December the weather used to be cold and us 50-60 kids would play in the garden. We used to go absolutely crazy and of course I love cutting the cake and receiving gifts. Those are fond memories. I still celebrate my birthdays but the childhood celebrations are something I will always cherish.
Things that you enjoyed as a child and miss now or would like to do again?
I miss playing in the classroom, when the periods were getting changed. When one teacher would leave and the other was supposed to come in, during those three-five minutes in between we kids used to do crazy stuff. Those two rows of desks in the classroom were enough for us to play endless games. The few minutes used to make us so happy, now I don’t even know what we were so happy about but it’s something we looked forward to! We used to play cricket and football in that limited space, these are the things I would like to do again, given a chance and relive my childhood.
What did you dream of becoming when you grew up?
As a child I always dreamt of becoming a pilot. I loved fighter planes and everything about them. Most kids in primary school wanted to be a pilot or an astronaut and I was no different.
