In our special series Be My Guest, Kumkum Bhagya actress Pooja Banerjeee takes us in her private space and gives us a peek into what went into making her beautiful, serene house.

What's your favourite spot in the house?
My balcony since it has the favourite plants of Sandeep and mine, plus I like the view from there.

How did you design this area?
We kept it raw which some Sheesham wood chairs with Rajasthani carvings on it, lots of plants and good lighting.

How did you choose a colour scheme?
My favourite is blue as it soothes the senses, so mostly Moroccan or Santorini touch to the house makes it vibrant as well as cosy.

What's your favourite decor item?
The Buddha which I got from Sri Lanka. It keeps reminding me to take it easy and calms me down if I need to be.

What's an ideal day-off at home for you?
Cooking, cleaning, gardening, reading books or watching a nice show or movie.

What's the most important aspect while deciding about a house?
Vastu Shastra. The first thing I checked before taking the house and keeping the mandir room is to first check the Vastu.

If one ever visits your home, the one thing they will be treated to...
Sweets, I’m Bengali after all and mostly I must have prepared it.

The item one will always find in your pantry...
Almond milk, dates and ghee.

A series you're currently binging on when at home...

Special Ops

Your favourite gadgets at home...
My speakers from Marshall and Bose. Can’t do without them. Love listening to music; and air pods, so that I can talk while cooking or gardening.
