Jason Tham is no newcomer to the world of entertainment. This talented Indian guy is what one would call as ‘complete package’. Besides being an ace dancer, he is also a choreographer and an actor. Mid-Day Online caught up with him for an exclusive interview on the auspicious occasion of ‘Dhanteras’. Here’s what he had to say:
Do you know what is the exact Dhanteras date or better still, let me ask you in true Bollywood style: Do you know Dhanteras kab hai or do you Google Dhanteras kab ki hai? What we want to know is that am asking you whether you are aware of the Dhanteras date?
Of course I am. Dhanteras is the beginning of 5 day festival of Diwali (from 22nd October). I usually get to know the dates of Dhanteras/Diwali via people or announcement of public holidays.

Iss saal Dhanteras kab manae jayegi?
It will fall on Saturday, 22nd October.

Are you aware of the Dhanteras / Diwali Dhanteras 2022 date timing? In other words, what is Dhanteras timing 2022?
It will begin from Saturday morning onwards. Timings I need to check yaar!
Do you do Dhanteras puja?
We usually don’t celebrate 5 days but we only consider 'chhoti Diwali' and Diwali.
What are your plans for 'Diwali 2022'?
Its been many years that I haven’t celebrated Diwali with my family, especially because of the lockdown. Diwali is incomplete without your loved ones. So I’ve come to Delhi to celebrate it with them.
Do you draw rangoli for Dhanteras... the famous Dhanteras Rangoli?
No...not really.

Yes! We are planning to buy something auspicious. Lets see...
Are you aware of Dhanteras puja vidhi? Who in your family knows Dhanteras ki puja vidhi?
During 'choti Diwali', we have a small puja/ prayer of Goddess Laxmi in the house. After that, there is preparation for the main Diwali from the next day. Elders in my family are aware of Dhanteras ki puja vidhi.
Do you search for 'Happy Dhanteras' images? Do you also Google Dhanteras kab ki hai?
Yes... sometimes (smiles).
