Anupamaa actor Madhavi Gogate dies due to Covid-19

Madhavi Gogate who played the role of Anupamaa's (Rupali Ganguly) mother in the Star Plus show has passed away at the age of 58. Reportedly, the actress had tested positive for Covid-19 recently.


The veteran actress was admitted to the hospital and was recovering from the infection. But according to reports her condition deteriorated and she breathed her last on November 21. 


Television actress Nilu Kohli paid tribute to Madhavi Gogate on Instagram by sharing her picture. “Madhavi Gogate my dear friend nooooo. I can’t get down to believing that you have left us. Heartbroken @gogatemadhavi you were too young to go. Damn Covid. I wish I had picked up that damn phone and spoken to you when you did not reply to my msg. All I can do is regret now (sic)," she wrote.

Anupamaa co-star Rupali Ganguly too mourned her demise on Instagram Story and wrote, “So much left unsaid. Sadgati Madhaviji." 

Madhavi Gogate was well known for her role in Marathi film Ghanchakkar, in which she starred opposite Ashok Saraf. She recently made her Marathi TV debut with Tuza Maza Jamtay. She has also done theatre and featured in other Hindi TV shows like Koi Apna Sa, Kahin Toh Hoga and more.
