Rahul Vaidya made headlines for calling Virat Kohli a joker, and now Abhijeet Sawant, the winner of Indian Idol season 1, has reacted to the ongoing controversy and slammed Rahul for doing things just to make news. Abhijeet, in a recent interview, shared that Rahul "has this habit of not going unnoticed."

In an interview with Hindi Rush, Abhijeet was asked about the recent news involving Rahul and Virat. Laughing out loud at the question, the singer reacted by saying, "He is somebody who will never go unnoticed. Somebody has this habit of not going unnoticed, he will try to do something to get noticed. Mujhe relevant bhi nahi lagti yeh cheeze. Uska koi matlab nahi hai (I don't think these things are relevant. There is no meaning to this)."

"Koi sach mein bhi ghalat karte bhi dikha aapko phir woh kitna bhi bada ho toh aap boldo (If you see someone doing wrong, even if a big celebrity, then you should tell them). Then you are making a mark... Iska koi matlab nahi hai. Baki koi nahi bol raha hai na (This doesn't make sense. Nobody else is saying anything, right?)," he further added while sharing that there are a few celebs who do these things to stay relevant and concluded his point by saying, "main woh Rahulgiri nahi karna chahta (I don't want to do such Rahulgiri)."

All about Rahul Vaidya-Virat Kohli controversy

Virat Kohli made headlines after he liked a picture of social media star Avneet Kaur; later, he put out a clarification blaming the Instagram algorithm. After Virat's clarification came out, singer and Bigg Boss 16 fame Rahul K Vaidya blasted Kohli for what he called a baseless explanation. In a video, Rahul said, "Main kehna chahta hoon ki aaj ke baad aisa ho sakta hai ki algorithm bohot saare photos like kar de jo maine nahi kare. So, jo bhi ladki ho (I want to say that going forward, the algorithm might like many photos which I didn’t like. So, the girls), please don’t do PR around it because it is not my mistake. It is Instagram’s mistake, okay?"

Rahul also claimed that Kohli has blocked him on Instagram because of the post, though he added it might just be an 'Instagram glitch,' as the RCB star himself had suggested. This made Rahul put out another message where he indirectly called Virat a joker. In his Instagram story, Rahul said, "Virat Kohli's fans are even bigger jokers than Virat!" He went on to express his anger over the abuse targeted at his family.
