Shilpa Shetty was recently offered to co-judge the soon-to-be-launched show, Cine Stars Ki Khoj. But the actress turned it down because she wanted to be with her two-year-old son, Viaan.

A source says, “Before Sonali Bendre came on board, the makers had approached Shilpa and were ready to finalise her. But she wasn’t ready to take up the show as her son has just started going to school. She wants to spend time with him and be there to pick him up and drop him in his initial days of school.”

Besides this, Shilpa also felt that since she is already part of a reality show, it would be unfair to change loyalties and do another one. “Shilpa has judged two seasons of Nach Baliye and she enjoyed her stint. She has gelled well with their production house and the channel’s team, so she thought that it wasn’t a good idea to do a show for a rival channel.”

Shilpa confirms the news and says, “I would have loved to be associated with the show but I had to turn down their offer as my business venture and taking care of Viaan keep me really busy. I don’t want to compromise on either.”
