The ongoing season of 'Nach Baliye' has come under the scanner after Rithvik Dhanjani and Karan Patel, who are hosting the dance reality show, passed objectionable comments on national heroes as well as India’s Constitution in a video currently being circulated online.

Advocate Devendra Patil says, “In this particular video clip that has been submitted before the Mulund Court, both actors are seen insulting national leaders and talking ill about our Constitution. We have furnished all proofs against Rithvik, Karan and Ekta Kapoor, who is producing the show. It also shows the audience and crew members enjoying the ridiculing act and none objected to it.”

It is said after the clip started doing the rounds, a freelancer journalist decided to file a case. Patil says, “The court has admitted our evidence that prima-facie suggests they were part of this act. On July 29, it will give us the go-ahead to send notices to all parties concerned.”

While Rithvik and Karan did not revert for a comment, Ekta says, “I don’t think that they (the actors) have done this, but let me check and get back to you.”

A copy of the complaint is in mid-day’s possession.
