JD Majethia, producer and co-chairman of Indian Film and TV producers, says, "They threatened their own members, currently working on various shows despite the strike.
They wanted to affect the shows' schedules. So, we filed police complaints against them last weekend."
The 15 TV producers include Gul Khan, Rajan Shahi, Sanjoy Wadhwa, Rashmi Sharma and Rahul Tewari. "After police security was provided, the threats have stopped and the members have also stopped barging into producers' offices. I am thankful to the police for taking prompt action and providing security to us," adds Majethia.
Raj Surve, president of the editors' association, however, denies the producers' allegations. He says, "We did not threaten any producer. They have got editors from Chennai and Delhi, who are not members of our association."
