It comes as a shock but this had to happen sooner than later. 'Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani' starring Drashti Dhami and Siddhant Karnick was riding solely based on the leading actors and their chemistry.

Since a few months there have been speculations that the show is all set to come to and end, but no one accepted or confirmed anything.
We now hear that the show is taking a new leap post Drashti and Siddhant's consummation sequence. After a 8-year-leap, the makers are apparently planning to focus on Ranaji (Siddhant) and Gayatri's (Drashti) children. It seems both the actors are not keen on continuing with the show post the leap and have refused to age on screen. They will quit the show, claim sources.
With the focus on the children, Drashti and Siddhant will no longer continue to be the main protagonist of the show. Both Drashti and Siddhant's were unavailable..
