Contestant Bir Radha Sherpa bagged the prestigious winner title of the dance reality show, 'Dance Champions'. The grand finale episode will be aired this weekend. Bir had also won the trophy of 'Dance Plus 3', of which, 'Dance Champions' is an extension. Bir, a resident of Silchar, has repeatedly won the hearts of the audience with his unique b-boying mix with contemporary dance style. He managed to surpass his seasoned peers in this dance race. After winning the show, Bir told indianexpress that he was very grateful to have access to such a huge platform. "Coming from a small town where dance as a career is not heard of, I feel fortunate to have been part of such a grand show." The winner doesn't wish to become a full-fledged choreographer at the moment, instead, Bir has some different plans. "I want to learn as much as I can. There is a long way to go. I want to train myself hard and represent India on international platforms. I want to show the world that it doesn't matter where you come from, talent and hard work will always show you the way."

'Dance Champions' was launched by Remo D'souza for winners of various other dance shows to compete with a few deserving challengers. Apart from Bir Radha Sherpa, other finalists of the show were MJ5 Group, Piyush Bhagat, Sushant Khatri, Faisal Khan and Vaishnavi Patil. The show went on air on September 30, 2017.
