When Sivagiri's (Vijay) sister Karpagam gets assaulted by goons, he takes it on him to deal with the rowdies and also make the city more safer for his sister and other women. Released in 2005, the film stars Vijay, Mallika, and Trisha Krishnan among others.

Ganesh (Ajith) moves to Kolkata with his sister Thamizh (Lakshmi Menon) when she expresses her desire to move to the city for higher education. Ganesh takes up the job of an auto driver.
