Much before making her Hindi film debut in 2016 with 'Raaz Reboot', Kriti Kharbanda had a flourishing career in South cinema. After appearing in several ad films, she was cast as the lead actor in the Kannada film 'Boni' opposite Sumanth in 2009. While the film received a negative reaction, the actress received a positive response from the audience.

Teen Maar (2011)
Despite her debut Telugu film not doing wonders, she landed a prominent role in Teen Maar opposite Pawan Kalyan. The film follows the story of a man who reconsiders his ideas about love in the modern world after he hears a love story from 40 years ago. Kriti plays the role of Vasumathi in the film.
Chirru (2010)
This film got Kriti a fair amount of recognition among the audience and in the industry. This also marked her debut film in Kannada. The film also stars Chiranjeevi Sarja in the lead. Krtii plays the lead role. Her character falls in love with a man but seeks the lead actors' help in getting united with her lover.
Prem Adda (2012)
The film follows the story of Ranganath and his friends are small-time criminals who are loyal to a village politician. But when they are discarded by him after they commit a murder to aid his political plans, they plot revenge. For the film, Kriti played a de-glam role for the first time. She called Girija the most challenging character she had played till then, since it required a no-makeup look, getting a tan and walking barefoot to attain 'a raw look' like the role demanded. For the film, she also designed her costumes along with her mother.
Super Ranga (2014)
This is one of Kriti's many films released in the year. The film follows the story of Ranga, a young boy who seeks thrills in life. He falls in love with Swathi but still misses the thrill he wants; Swathi then marries a police officer and he takes on a secret avatar to deal with it.
Bruce Lee- The Fighter (2015)
In her first film with Ram Charan, Kriti essays the role of the actor's sister. She plays the role of an IANS aspirant in the film.
