Setting the premise of the film through a parents’ point of view, the film journeys through some of the hilarious ‘incidents’ of Santosh’s life. Struggling with a psychological issue of his ‘size’, Santosh is faced with life altering dilemmas. Loggerheads with his fate, Santosh is unable to find a solution and runs into trouble at every attempt to resolve it. There’s nothing a ‘love story’ cannot solve, so when Santosh falls in love with Amrutha, he is determined to find a solution, but does he?

“A story like this needs fine storytelling and proper representation, and I feel fortunate to have collaborated with Gandhi, who is the writer of this film and an accomplished Director himself. Also, actors like Santosh Shobhan, Kavya Thapar and Brahmaji bring to life a simple yet relevant situation so seamlessly,” said debutant director Karthik Rapolu, when talking about the film. “I am thrilled to have partnered with Amazon Prime Video for the direct-to-service premiere of this dream project where global audiences will be able to watch this film. 'Ek Mini Katha' will not only will make audiences laugh, but also make them ponder about some of these issues.”

Writer Merlapaka Gandhi added, “This story is very close to my heart, I wanted to write something that is unique and hasn’t been explored in the past. I also decided to not give the film a serious tone, purely because it becomes preachy. Issues like these, when addressed in a light-hearted manner become conversational and more acceptable. I am glad that this film is releasing on Amazon Prime Video, with its reach to 240+ countries and territories, we will be able to initiate this conversation with so many more people.”

Actor Santosh Sobhan, about his character, remarks, “It was an absolute riot while filming this movie! The writing, the direction was so spot on, that playing the character came easily to me. The fact that this topic is so ingrained in reality that the finer nuances of the character was not very difficult to portray. The film is an absolute delight to watch, and I can’t wait for audiences to watch it either.”

Santosh suffers from a psychological problem that causes him to be insecure about his 'size'. Struggling to find a solution, he erases the idea of marriage altogether until he meets Amrutha, with whom he falls in love.

'Ek Mini Katha' is written by Merlapaka Gandhi, directed by debutant Karthik Rapolu and stars Santosh Sobhan and Kavya Thapar.
