The film marked a first for a Malayalam cinema as its trailer was played at the Times Square in New York. Actor Dulquer Salmaan took to Instagram and wrote, "Cannot contain my excitement. 'King of Kotha' has become the first Malayalam film to have its trailer played at New York City’s Times Square. Having visited the busy and vibrant Time’s Square several times, never even dreamed of appearing on the screens there. Big moment for me personally and the biggest tribute we can give to Malayalam Cinema."
Dulquer took to Instagram and shared a reel video, wherein we can see a glimpse of the trailer being featured at Times Square. People on the streets of New York can be seen cheering for the actor and recording videos of the trailer being played at the venue.

Directed by Abhilash Joshiy in his directorial debut, 'King of Kotha' has generated massive pre-bookings, setting a record-breaking trend. Jointly produced by Zee Studios and Dulquer's own Wayfarer Films, the film is all set to grace theatres on August 24.
