After 'Chaar Sahibzaade' released in 2014, director Harry Baweja had reportedly said it took him 80 trips to Amritsar to secure permission to make the animated film based on the sacrifices of the sons of Guru Gobind Singh.

Now ready with the sequel, he has decided to fly down seven key members of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), a Sikh outfit, for a special screening. Interestingly, the religious leaders will watch the film before Harry takes it to the Censor Board.

"It was a revolutionary move to make a religious animated film. It took a lot of convincing the first time round since there was a barrier to break. This time, they have faith in me," he says.

Baweja wants to be reassured that he hasn't missed out any detail in the film or included something that's not in with history. "You have to be careful with history, so I felt it is important to run the film by them. I want everything in sync with facts and no one knows about Sikh mythology better than them."

The sequel releases later this month and Harry will apply for certification after incorporating suggestions of SGPC members. "We didn't want to go to the Censor Board without seeking blessings of the Golden Temple's head priest first," he says.
