BTS member Jungkook recently released his first solo album, Golden, and is busy promoting it these days. The youngest member of the Bangtan Boys was in New York to perform on the Today Show on November 8. The K-pop idol stopped traffic all around the plaza outside the show’s New York studios for a live performance of songs from his just-released debut solo album. The program’s hosts said JK drew one of the biggest crowds they’ve ever had.

Why is Jungkook sorry?
Although ARMYs gathered at the venue loved his performance, it did not live up to Jungkook's super-high standards. The pop star, who is super critical of his own abilities, too to Weverse later to apologise to fans. He wrote in Korean, "ARMYs… I'm sorry… I messed up the live heh. I don’t have an excuse, I’ll try doing better in the next live performance!"
However, the fans were not disappointed with his performance at all. Those present at the venue noted that Jungkook had to endure freezing weather to perform the songs live. Despite this difficulty, he delivered his best for each of the songs, mesmerizing the audience with his live vocals and stage presence.
Before the main show, Jungkook had appeared for rehearsals in a puffer jacket over his coat. He was shivering and gestured that he was feeling cold on stage. He also said to the staff, "It's so cold to the level that I can't sing. And the wind is blowing. It's hard to breathe because wind is going through my nose."

Jungkook performs latest hits 3D, Seven
Fans in huge numbers had gathered to witness this moment live. Jungkook had prepared three live performances for the show - 'Standing Next To You', '3D', and 'Seven'. Wearing a sparkly jacket over a black shirt and matching pants, Jungkook made his debut on the Today stage with a live band.
He also wished a 10-year-old fan Happy Birthday.

The singer also appreciated the audience, saying, "Thank you so much for coming early in the morning, you are the best.' He then wished them a "Golden day" before singing the uptempo track 'Standing Next to You'.
