All you need to know about Eminem's 'mockingbird' Hailie Jade Scott

Eminem and Haile

Eminem may have a tough image, but as we all know he's a softie when it comes to his kids. The rapper has three children with his ex-wife, Kim Scott: Hailie Jade Scott, Alaina Scott, and Stevie Laine Scott.

He often credits his kids for helping him get sober. Even though he struggled to focus on his addiction to pills in rehab because of his fame, he found the strength to do it on his own with his family's support. In a conversation with the New York Times Magazine in 2010, he was quoted as saying, "I love them so much, and they've helped me through so many things."

About Hailie Jade Scott

Hailie Jade Scott was born on Dec. 25, 1995, in Detroit, Michigan. She has always been the light of her father's life, and has been mentioned in several of Eminem's songs, including 'Mockingbird' and 'Hailie's Song.'

"My insecurities could eat me alive / But then I see my baby / Suddenly I'm not crazy / It all makes sense when I look into her eyes," he rapped on the 2002 hit 'Hailie's Song'.

In 2001, Eminem said his daughter was a major wake-up call for him. "She made me get my ass in gear — to make something of my life and try 10 quadrillion times harder than I had before," he told Q, a British publication. "Everything I'm doing now is for Hailie... the money is for her college."

As per People, Hailie excelled in high school, graduating summa cum laude from Chippewa Valley High School in Clinton Township, Michigan. She was a member of the National Honor Society, student council, Key Club, art club, and the volleyball team.

Hailie graduated from Michigan State University with a psychology degree and a 3.9 GPA. "She's definitely made me proud," Eminem said on Hotboxin' with Mike Tyson in 2020, noting that she has "no babies" and is focused on her career. "Just a boyfriend. She's doing well."

In the summer of 2022, Hailie started her own podcast called Just A Little Shady. Co-hosted by her longtime friend Brittany Ednie, the first episode talked about what it was like growing up as the daughter of a rap star.

Hailie finds love in Evan McClintock

In February 2023, Hailie announced her engagement to her boyfriend of over five years, Evan McClintock. "casual weekend recap… 😭💗 2.4.23 💍 i love you @evanmcclintock11," she wrote as she announced her engagement to her beau. The picture also featured a close-up of the ring - a beautiful oval-cut diamond!

The couple promised to spend the rest of their lives together in May 2024, and Hailie shared photos from the wedding on Instagram. "We couldn’t have asked for a better, more beautiful weekend celebration," she wrote.

"So so many happy tears were shed, laughs & smiles were had, & so much love was felt. Evan and I are feeling so grateful for all of the family & friends that traveled to support us and be a part of this new chapter of our lives as husband & wife." She concluded.

Her happy moments from her wedding included pictures of Eminem standing next to his (not so) little one and her partner.
