Angus Cloud, the actor best known for portraying Fezco 'Fez' O'Neill, a drug dealer in HBO's Euphoria, has tragically passed away at the young age of 25.

In a statement released on Monday, Cloud's family expressed their profound grief, describing him as an extraordinary human being and highlighting the many roles he played in their lives as an artist, friend, brother, and son. The family disclosed that Angus had been facing intense struggles since burying his father the previous week, who was also his best friend. Despite their sorrow, they found comfort in believing that Angus had now been reunited with his late father.

Angus Cloud was candid about his battles with mental health, and his family hopes that his passing serves as a reminder to others that they are not alone in their struggles and should not suffer in silence.

TMZ reported that after returning from Ireland, where his father was laid to rest, Angus was grappling with suicidal thoughts and sought support from his family during this difficult time. His mother made a call to the Oakland Police Department in California on Monday, raising concerns about a possible overdose.

The Oakland Police Department confirmed they were investigating the death, which occurred after 11:30 A.m, but stated that the cause of death was still unknown, withholding further details.

The streaming service HBO Max, in a statement, expressed their deep sadness upon learning of Angus Cloud's passing. They praised his immense talent and acknowledged him as a beloved part of both the HBO and Euphoria family. HBO Max extended their heartfelt condolences to Angus's friends and family during this tragic period.

Aside from his role in Euphoria, Angus Cloud also appeared in films such as North Hollywood (2021) and The Line (2023), as well as music videos for artists like Noah Cyrus and Juice WRLD.

Angus Cloud's rise to fame came unexpectedly when he was stopped on a Manhattan street by a casting company representative. Prior to his breakthrough role in Euphoria, Angus had no plans of pursuing an acting career, having previously worked at a "chicken and waffle joint." Despite his newfound fame, he maintained a down-to-earth demeanor, humorously deflecting questions during red carpet interviews.

Angus Cloud's passing is a devastating loss to the entertainment industry and his fans. His talent, humor, and love for others will be cherished in their memories forever.
