The film will see Amazing Spiderman star Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, The Social Network star Jesse Eisenberg and Abigail Breslin reprise their roles. Zombieland is a horror comedy road movie, which revolves around four strangers who meet and bond amid a post-apocalyptic zombie outbreak.
Eisenberg plays the geeky survivor, Columbus, while Harrelson is the violent Tallahassee, and Stone and Breslin play the role of sisters Wichita and Little Rock. Ruben Fleischer will direct the movie while original Zombieland writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese has penned the script for the sequel. The film is set to begin production in January and will be released in October 2019, in time for the 10th anniversary of the original movie.
