London: Disney has officially announced that 'Wreck-It Ralph' sequel will be called 'Ralph Breaks the Internet'.

The official name was confirmed at CinemaCon. The movie will see Wreck-It Ralph (John C Reilly) and Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman) go into the internet after a Wi-Fi router gets plugged into the arcade, reported Digital Spy.

Director Rich Moore ssays, "To take these characters we love and have them enter the enormous world of the internet has given us so much to explore.

"Our production team has been hard at work designing a world that takes something we all think we know the internet but shows it in a whole new, imaginative way."

Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch and Alan Tudyk are also reprising their roles in the sequel, and they'll be joined by James Corden as well as a Disney veteran in the form of Jodi Benson, who voiced Ariel in The Little Mermaid.

The first film followed video game villain Wreck-It Ralph who abandons his arcade machine to achieve his dream of being a hero and gain respect among his peers.

Sonic the Hedgehog, Doctor Eggman, Bowser and a host of Street Fighter characters including Ryu, Ken, M Bison and Zangief all had cameos.

'Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2' releases on March 9, 2018.
