'Rock of Ages' star Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, popularly known as TomKat, are ending their five-year-old marriage.
Hollywood couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are getting a divorce after five years of marriage -- four days before Cruise turns 50 on Tuesday.

"This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family," an attorney for 33-year-old Holmes, Jonathan Wolfe, told the People magazine.
"Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."

Cruise's rep also issued a statement saying that Holmes had filed the divorce papers.
Cruise, 49, and Holmes, 33, got engaged at the top of the Eiffel Tower in June 2005 and wereu00a0married at an Italian castle in November 2006. The couple, who came to be known as TomKat have a 6-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise.u00a0
Cruise has been divorced twice before - his first marriage to Mimi Rogers ended after less than three years together, while he split from Nicole Kidman in 2001 after 10 years as man and wife.u00a0
