Sylvester Stallone has refuted reports that he will appear in the Indian remake of his hit 1982 actioner Rambo, which features Tiger Shroff in the lead role.
The Hollywood star, 71, confirmed to an international publication, that he has absolutely no role in the Shroff-starrer. Through a spokesperson, Stallone stated: "Any involvement in Tiger Shroff's Rambo is not happening, under any circumstances. I wish them well on their own."
The actor's initial reaction to reports of an Indian remake seemed to have indicated that he was uncertain about the decision. "Great character. Hope they don't wreck it," he had apparently said, only to later express his joy in an Instagram post, writing: "I love it when young artists get an opportunity to go for their dreams. I am sure he [Shroff] will put his heart and soul into it."
The remake is being helmed by Siddharth Anand.
