The 34-year-old actor took to his band's social media page and shared some funny photos of him to dispel rumours of his death, reported a website.
One photo uploaded on his band's Twitter page 'The Pizza Underground' shows him smiling while holding a bottle of soda. "We're on tour you silly people," the caption read.
Another photo uploaded by the band shows Culkin playing dead in his bandmate's arms.
"Weekend at bernies with @anchovywarhol #greenroom," read the caption, referring to 1989's comedy 'Weekend at Bernie's' in which two people try to convince people their boss is alive.
Another photo taken shows the band during a performance at the Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, Texas. "Performing last night at the Belmont, Bernie style @funfunfunfest #imalive," they wrote.
The Texas-based band also retweeted a fan's post which read, "Macaulay's first words: 'I'm alive!' #pizzaunderground #FFFfest."
False story about Culkin's death emerged via screengrab of what appeared to be a cable news broadcast. According to the fake news, the star was found dead in his Manhattan apartment on Friday.
