The SexyBack hitmaker wiped away tears while thanking his “incredibly understanding” wife Jessica Biel during an emotional speech — after making the audience laugh with a joke about her looks.
Justin (34), who married Jessica in 2012, called the actress his “rock” and described her as “beautiful, loving and incredibly understanding of her husband’s shortcomings”. The couple welcomed their first child, Silas, earlier this year.
He added: “Baby, I love you more than I could put into words and more than any song I could ever write.”
At the Memphis ceremony on Saturday, an overjoyed Justin said: “This is the coolest thing that has ever happened to me. The Grammys are political. The Emmys are political. Memphis is not political. And don’t get me started on Hollywood.” The singer-actor has nine Grammys and four Emmys to his credit.
He was inducted alongside the likes of guitarist Scotty Moore, Alberta Hunter and Al Jackson.
