Days after reports of her divorce with Justin Theroux hit headlines comes news that Jennifer Aniston was in touch with former hubby Brad Pitt in the months that led to the separation. According to presenter Nancy O'Dell, "They [Aniston and Pitt] have each other's numbers and communicate from time to time. Jen and Brad have remained friendly."

On Thursday, Aniston and Theroux confirmed they separated after seven-and-a-half years together. O'Dell stated that the Friends actor and Pitt, who were married from 2000 to 2005, are "friendly", though they were "absolutely not together" while she was with Theroux. However, she added, "You cannot predict the future."

A source stated, "Jen and Brad have remained close since their 2005 split, but she has leaned on him more over the past 15 months." However, Aniston's publicist stated claims that Pitt was her "shoulder to cry on was another fabrication". Ever since news of Aniston's separation from Theroux emerged, fans of the former have been hoping she reunite with Pitt, who also split from Angelina Jolie recently.
