Movie legend Sir Roger Moore, who is best known for his turn as James Bond, has died aged 89 after a short battle with cancer.
He is best known for portraying James Bond in the official film series between 1973-1985.

The statement continued: "It is with a heavy heart that we must announce our loving father, Sir Roger Moore, has passed away today in Switzerland after a short but brave battle with cancer.
Moore starred in seven Bond films including 'The Man With The Golden Gun' and 'The Spy Who Loved Me'.
He is survived by his wife Kristina Tholstrup and three children -- Deborah, Christian and Geoffrey.
