Oscar winning actress and Hollywood star, Angelina Jolie has received a lot of flak online for using bizarre casting methods on impoverished children in her Netflix documentary 'First They Killed My Father'

Angelina Jolie is recently in the news for giving an exclusive interview to Vanity Fair, where she has openly spoken about her impending divorce with Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt and her various health issues. Jolie opened up about her six children she shares with Brad Pitt, even though she has sought for sole custody. She added about her diagnosis of Bell's Palsy and hypertension. But what really got people's goat was the fact that how Jolie spoke about working with impoverished children in her documentary on Netflix. Angelina Jolie’s bizarre casting methods for her new film, 'First They Killed My Father', in which she 'taunted children with cash' has drawn a lot of flak online.
"In order to find their lead, the casting directors set up a game: they put money on the table and asked the child to think of something she needed the money for, and then to snatch it away. The director would pretend to catch the child, and the child would have to come up with a lie," the article said. Jolie eventually settled on Sareum Srey Moch because she was 'the only child that stared at the money for a very, very long time. When she was forced to give it back, she became overwhelmed with emotion. All these different things came flooding back. When she was asked later what the money was for, she said her grandfather had died, and they didn't have enough money for a nice funeral."
