Actress Helen Mirren has expressed her desire to see new movie 'Hitchcock' succeed at the Oscars, especially because it is a small budget film.
The biopic, which is based on legendary filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock's relationship with wife Alma Reville, has received much buzz, particularly for the performances of Anthony Hopkins as Hitchcock and Mirren as Alma, reported Contactmusic.

"I'd feel great for the movie. It would be so wonderful for the movie because it's not 'Les Miserables'. You know what I mean? We can't afford big advertising, so any recognition on any level is always a great help. I think the film deserves it. It's a wonderful film. It's funny, it's smart, it's original.
That would be lovely," she said. The film's director, Sacha Gervasi, added, "I don't even know if there is Oscar buzz. I'm really happy [about] anything where the film is talked about. It was literally a miracle to get this movie made, so those sorts of discussions are plus, plus, crazy."u00a0
