One can always expect Courtney Love to shock us with her words as well as actions. Turns out her present reputation goes a long way.

The controversial Hole singer reportedly not only went on record calling her late husband Kurt Cobain an “a**hole” but also asked 5,000 fans to scream the same together at a gathering to mark the rocker’s death 20years ago.

Interestingly, the outburst was remembered by former Billboard editor Carrie Borzillo, who reported on the Nevermind singer’s death at the time. Carrie recollected the “eclectic scene” at the public memorial service at the Flag Pavilion, near Seattle's Space Needle, attended by 5,000 fans, the following day.

“Courtney's recording took a different tone. Overwrought with emotion and clearly devastated, she let out her anger and frustration, crying: “Why didn't you just f***ing stay?...He’s such an a**hole. I want you all to say ‘a**hole’ really loud.” The crowd didn’t follow suit. Cobain and Love married in February 1992 and had daughter Frances Bean Cobain in August.
