"Fight Club" star Edward Norton has launched a new Earth Day contest that offered USD 50,000 to charities. The 42-year-old actor, who is a United Nations Ambassador for Biodiversity, will reward three campaigns that will pull in the most donations for environmental initiatives by May 15, reported Contactmusic.

Earth Day is important because it's about waking up more people to that challenge and committing to engage in it ourselves," he said. The first place winner will receive USD 25,000, while second and third places will get USD 15,000 and USD 10,000 respectively.
