Los Angeles: Hollywood star Bradley Cooper will serve as executive producer of "Stand Up To Cancer" when the biennial televised fundraiser returns for its fifth installment on September 9.

Presented by the Entertainment Industry Foundation, the program will be broadcast live from the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles across the Big Four networks (ABC, NBC,
CBS, and Fox) as well as several cable channels, including Bravo, Comedy Central, ESPNEWS, HBO, TBS, and VH1, reported Variety.
The special will also stream live on Yahoo and MLB.com, and will be available on Hulu.
Bradley, who lost his father, Charles Cooper, to lung cancer in 2011, said in a statement, "No one is ever fully prepared to deal with the overwhelming and complex journey
that comes with a cancer diagnosis.
"'Stand Up To Cancer' works tirelessly to support those at the forefront of the fight against cancer. SU2C's mission, to ensure that all cancer patients become cancer survivors, is one that is very close to my heart."
Since "Stand Up To Cancer" launched in 2008, more than USD 370 million has been pledged to support its model of collaborative cancer research.
