The classic tale, written by Rudyard Kipling, centers on Mowgli, an orphaned boy raised by wolves who befriends Baloo the bear and Bagheera the black panther.

The tiger Shere Khan and Mowgli are lifelong enemy, with each vowing to kill the other, the Hollywood Reporter reported.

Callie Kloves wrote the script and her father, Steve Kloves would be producing. Whereas, Andy Serkis, would be making his directorial debut with the movie.
